Script Review: Escape From New York Re-Make

I've had the Escape from New York script in my greasy paws for a few days and as a die hard Carpenter fan felt like I needed to say something about it. I read Merrick's report over at AICN but felt there were more things that needed to be out there. Hopefully this will get posted and you can "Call me Snake."

Dustin Hoffman Finally To Make Directorial Debut

Dustin Hoffman is to direct his first movie, 30 years after his last attempt at filmmaking led to him firing himself. Hoffman was the original director of the 1978 film Straight Time, in which he also starred, but became so disenfranchised with simultaneously acting and directing, he handed over the movie's reins to Ulu Grosbard.
