I have the opportunity to shoot an original short film...But only if I can figure out my script. I don't believe any past projects have been LGBT focused, let alone a lesbian romantic comedy. My biggest fear is that my story idea has been done before.

Another gory horror movie that opened without advance screenings, "Captivity" has that old B-movie king Larry Cohen -- father of "It's Alive!" -- credited as a co-writer. Roland Joffe -- who used to make things like "The Killing Fields" -- gets the director's credit all to himself. They'd have been better off using pseudonyms.
